Terms and conditions of sale

These terms govern the sale of LUMI products through ailumitoy.com to consumers resident in the European Union. By placing an order you accept them. Nothing in this document limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

1. Products and prices

All prices shown on this page are in euro and include applicable taxes. Shipping costs are shown separately before you complete the order and are always visible in the summary before payment.

Product images are indicative. Small differences in colour shade are not a defect.

2. Order and conclusion of the contract

The contract is concluded when you receive our order confirmation e-mail. Until then no contract exists and no amount is definitively charged to you.

We may refuse or cancel an order if the product is no longer available, if the delivery details are clearly wrong, or if we detect fraudulent use of a payment method. In that case we refund you in full.

3. Payment

Orders are paid by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Revolut Pay. Cash on delivery is available only in Romania.

Card details are handled directly by the payment service provider. We never see and never store your card number.

4. Shipping and delivery

We ship from Romania with the GLS courier. The shipping cost is shown at checkout before payment.

Estimated delivery is 3 to 5 working days for Germany, Austria and Italy, 4 to 6 for Belgium, the Netherlands and France, and 5 to 8 for Spain and more distant destinations. These are estimates based on our own deliveries, not guaranteed deadlines. In any case, we deliver within 30 days of the conclusion of the contract; if we fail to do so, you are entitled to terminate the contract and obtain a refund.

On delivery, please check that the parcel is intact. If the packaging is damaged, report it to the courier and write to us within 48 hours.

5. Right of withdrawal: 14 days

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you, receive the product, without giving any reason.

To withdraw it is enough to tell us in a clear statement, by e-mail to hello@ailumitoy.com, quoting your order number. We will confirm that we received it.

You must return the product within 14 days of communicating your withdrawal. The cost of returning the goods is yours. Since the parcel travels back to Romania, we recommend that you ask us for a quote or for instructions first.

We refund you within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same means of payment you used for the purchase. We may withhold the refund until we receive the product back, or until you supply evidence that you have sent it.

The refund includes the standard delivery cost you paid on the original order. If you chose a more expensive delivery than our standard one, the difference is not refunded.

You are liable for any diminished value of the product resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature and functioning.

Return address: Calea Aradului nr. 115, 300645 Timișoara, Romania. Please do not send a return before contacting us, so that we can match the parcel to your order.

6. Legal guarantee of conformity: 2 years

The product is covered by the legal guarantee of conformity for two years from delivery, under EU consumer law.

If the product is not in conformity, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity by repair or replacement, or, in the cases provided by law, to a price reduction or to termination of the contract. The costs necessary to bring the product into conformity are ours.

To use the guarantee, write to hello@ailumitoy.com with your order number and a description of the problem. Where possible, please send a photo or a short video: in most cases we solve the issue remotely, without you having to ship anything.

7. Use of the product

LUMI is an interactive toy intended for children aged 3 and over. It needs a Wi-Fi connection and setup through the app indicated in the included guide. The conversational features depend on the availability of the internet connection and of the artificial intelligence services used.

Parental controls let you manage the settings and review conversations. Children should use the product under adult supervision.

8. Complaints and dispute resolution

For any problem, write to us at hello@ailumitoy.com. We answer every message and always look for a direct solution first.

If we cannot reach an agreement, you may turn to the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform (ODR), at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

9. Personal data

We process your personal data to handle your order, arrange delivery, issue the invoice and provide support. The legal basis is the performance of the contract. Data is shared with the courier and the payment service provider only as far as necessary.

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict its processing and object to it. To exercise these rights, write to hello@ailumitoy.com. Full details are in our privacy policy.

10. Applicable law

The contract is governed by Romanian law. As a consumer resident in the European Union, you continue to benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence that are more favourable to you, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.

The contract is concluded in English. If any clause of these terms is found to be invalid, the remaining clauses stay fully effective.
